Wandering the Dark Forest

    Okay. This blog while featuring fashion is going to feature a place. I love those sims that people put a lot of work into and you can just wander around it. These days sims like this are far and few between and that makes me very sad. In the hopes to encourage this kind of second life I will feature places like this now and again.

    This particular sim does have a store. It's a small shop that you rez into and then you leave and you can't find it again. You get lost and immersed in this forest that is both bright and dark. This particular place has both the elements of dark and mystery.....but there is a touch of whimsy that I happen to enjoy very much. The name of this sim is called Bentham Forest  -- Haunted Dark Fantasy Forest --

    One last thing before I get onto the outfit. If you find a sim like this and you enjoy it, please tip them. Show your support. Places like this die pretty fast because most of the time it is a drain on the RL budget. There is nothing more heartbreaking in sl then making a place for people to simply enjoy and having to shut it down.

Bothering Him at Work

Good Morning!

    In my own little world I think that pajama top is his and I stole it, went to bed and woke up after he has gone to work. I then bug him to death as he is trying to get things done so he can get out of there.

    Ok that's enough roaming around in my imagination. We don;t want you getting lost. Let's talk about the item I want to review today. I know I have been doing that a lot lately but I think as a consumer and a creator things like this interest me. So, the item of the day is the Lovers Play Ground day bed. I love this thing to death. I love it so much that I overlooked the fact that it is around 30 prims.

I am amazed with these people and their almost OCD attention to detail. Great big thumbs up LP. Buying this piece of furniture is a great thing for people like me that can't keep the same home and theme running for too long. It's great because it has a texture change hud.....and unlike most furniture that has a million options that are slightly generic or very few high detailed options LP decided to go for the best of both of these options. It has HUNDREDS of DETAILED texture options. Each piece textures on it's own and nearly EVERY piece can be re textured via this hud. The only one I have issues with is the texture of the frame. In fact that is my only complaints.

The poses used in this item are all very lovely, high quality poses, and for the most part I have to do very little adjustment. Yes there is some here and there but it is minimal.

As far as lag goes, even tho this piece does so many things it produces little lag.

My biggest complaint with it is that you have to know where to click to sit on it. The couples poses are stored in the mattress part using MLP or something like that and the singles poses are in the back cushions using something like Avsitter. One or two of the poses are way off but that is insubstantial considering the massive amount of poses in this thing. There is also of course the frame that will not re texture even tho the textures for it are in the hud, but again, it's not that big of a deal.

     Hello, beautiful. Today's fashion bloggery is going to focus on two things. You will see a bright colorful complete outfit that I did not feel the need to mix and match all that much and the newest itty bitty member of my cuddly little buddies.

      Let's start with my buddy for now shall we? He is one of the newest gachas from TAMA in Camlann, and he is just the cutest thing. You can either have him stand still, or wake him up and he does so many little things that make me want to break the glass with girly noises. He will sit, dance, wave at you and I swear I even caught him rocking out. I'm sure the rest of the litter is just as sweet so be sure to check them out. I will leave a landmark below in the style card, of course.

     The second thing I would like to focus on is a store. I got this colorful outfit in my favorite color and the most complimentary color to go with it. It comes from a store called Creamed, link will be provided bellow.  It is perfect and bright for the summer season.It also comes with a full set of jewelry, shoes and nail appliers for slink AND wowmeh, Since I wear the wowmeh hands, and the slink feet I was very, very pleased with that.

     Another thing I find amazing about this particular store is the customer service. I messed up. I got confused by the vendors and got the wrong color. I thought it was one of those issues where you set up a new vendor and forget to change the other color options, but that's not the case. It was completely me and my before coffee shopping habit. Anyway. She dealt with my cranky tired questions and even fixed my mistake for me. To me that is above and beyond customer service.

I Support Wowmeh

    I have recently seen the post that Wowmeh is not actually available right now. From what I can understand they have been forced down or there is a great deal of drama regarding this amazing product.

    I make some mesh myself. The time and patience not to mention the skill and creativity needed to create these things is daunting. I can't imagine how it must feel to put the time and effort into something of this caliber and then have to give it up. If you just sit and think about this mesh that works so beautifully WITH Second Life, and the Hud that allows you to put on clothing and make some parts disappear like an alpha layer. I have tried this. It is really hard. There is only one other avatar I can think of that comes close to this as far as quality and accessibility goes, this avatar however allows you to be a toddler or a small child. It is the first and it is brilliant, but they are not the same.

     I am hoping that it will come back. I hope that whatever reason it is out of commission gets fixed. I am the kind of girl that finds one skin and will stick with it forever. I bought the Wowmeh a few months after I bought my forever (or at least for a while) skin. That skin does not have a Wowmeh applier so I gave it up. Imagine if Slink Feet where taken off the market because someone else has already made a foot. What if you couldn't make a white tshirt because someone else made a white tshirt? Imagine how you would feel if you put HOURS and DAYS and maybe even months into a product and had someone pass your hard work, the name you have made for yourself off as theirs. I don't care what world you apply it to. It is unethical and illegal. It's sad that the victim should also be punished. It's horrifying.

A Cool Summer Night......and a Wowmeh review.

        I know that it has been a while between making this page and actually making a post. For that I am sorry. I think I started with good intentions and just forgot about it. I would like to make it up to you with my first ever post.

        My focus lately has been the Womeh body. I love that it is so smooth and more real looking the the system avatar. I also love that it is still fully customizable. If your favorite skin shop makes an applier you can go ahead and use that, if you want to mod the shape you can do it for days. You can also mod your bod to fit certain mesh articles of clothing that don't want to play nice. That is very handy because for the moment the alpha part of the hud is not my all time favorite creature. I love that it HAS a hud. I just think it could be worked out a little bit more.

         It also has two body types, the insize and the oversize. The insize is more like your standard shape while the oversize gives you the same sort of look you would get if you put on some Lola's Tangos and a Phat Azz. Personally I loved the hips but was so sad that I needed to have great big boobs for nice supple hips. Eventually with a little bit of shape modification I was able to get the hips I wanted as you will see.

        Last thing I want to ramble on about is the issue of clothing, and then I will do the whole fashion thing. There are currently very few designers for this mod. There are some, ye, I just hope to see more soon. You can not wear your regular system layer clothing. This requires a hud. The good news is that MOST mesh will work. Some of your tighter skirts are going to have a bad glitching problem, and really low cut tops can be a struggle to get around as well. This is where it comes in handy to still be able to modify your shape, as you can -ehem- adjust your breast into your shirt.

     Okay, one more thing before I end this. This has not been put together using a "blogger pack". The Items I am wearing are out when I post this and if it is from an event it will not last long. New Fashion Blog

This blog is going to focus on fashion from Second Life. I personally love dressing my avatar. Some days all I do is change my clothes. Well....that's not exactly the case. I do plenty of other things. Building, exploring, enjoying the company of good friends. That's what this limitless sand box is all about right? Creations, exploration and connections. Without any of those things second life is just a boring blank canvas. I want to take the time to celebrate the many creators out there. I may focus on something exorbitantly expensive, but my main focus is going to be the affordable. I do hope you enjoy my blog and you check back often. I hope to have some wonderful things to show you in the near future.
